8-1 YO ADRIAN

Vikqueens
8-1-0
.889
967
W-6

The Vikqueens are now sitting up high.. tied for the lead. This week we owe our success to the running of Adrian Peterson(a big 46pts). The commissioner will remember that I was not able to be present for the draft and my only request was to get me Adrian. Well I got LT and a couple of other chumps at RB. The chumps are long gone while LT gets a few points.I was able to move Plaxico Burress for a second string RB that is now tearing up the league. Oh yes thanks to the Lions D in week 9 the commissioner's team lost a 28 point heartbreaker.
Had I faith in Big Ben to put up passing #s I would be over the 1000 marker instead of 967. I sat Ben in favor of Palmer in a 4 TD and 5 TD game. This week the commissioner tells me he is taking over the Geeksters. I am not sure of the rules in this league but it sounds like an inside job to me in hopes of derailing the high flying ViQueens. I have some moves in mind.

6-1 Thanks to Wes Walker

Monday night and it looks good for a 6-1 record. I just have to hope Clark from the Colts does not match Wes Walker's big 25 point gift. I was sweating the matchup with Buck's Bruisers tied for the #2 spot. Game time decisions had me thinking about Big Ben but then he said he better throw in practice cause all he would be doing was handing off to Parker. Of course he gets 4 TDs and 34 points while chump Carson Palmer hands off all day and comes up with a paltry 15 points. Thank God for Wes Walker who some how gets another 25 for the Queens. I also kept Calvin Johnson on the pine and he beat by fading Randle El by 8 points. I calculated that I left 24 net points on the BN. with Big Ben and Calvin and a second string kicker. Also I had to put in some Morris guy from Seattle to take LT's spot while he was on a bye.

A Communique From The Commissioner

Here are some kind words I received from Commissioner John after Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings racked up 40 plus points 3 touchdowns and 328 yards.
Fine showing this week, VQ. That Peterson trade vaults you into elite status among the Futball teams.
Yes I knew Peterson was a money player. And to make things even better this week, LT had his firstbreakout game with 44 points. I almost traded him for Westbrook but it seems my patience paid off. Now he is sitting out with a bye this week and I need another running back besides a Seattle bench jockey. Is there any one out there I could pick up for this game to sneak past Buck's Bruisers in week seven? Maybe I should count on a Tony Romo slump. I picked up Folk as a kicker which leaves me in the fantasy owners quandary. Peterson and my real Vikes play the Cowboys with Folk. If the Vikings D plays as usual Romo will go wild and Folk will get some points. I may suit up my other kicker just so I won't cheer for the stinking Cowboys kicker when he is playing against my real Vikings. Should I let emotion and life long loyalties enter into the equation? ...these are the Tough questions that fill my days and nights during my first fantasy season.

4-1 Looking Good

It was bye week for the Bengals and my big combo of Palmer and Ocho Cinco with the Bengals kicker. I put in Big Ben and he came through. I was worried about going without a kicker so I picked up some insurance from the Cowboys and I did not need it because Kitna and the Lions only racked up three points on the scoreboard. Next week we matchup with Nuns and Roses and former Rams star Kurt Warner. I just hope he doesn't bring back some of the Ram's magic for the faithful nun.

2-1 Ronnie Brown Or LT??

I looked at the points and my opponent had Ronnie Brown from the Dolphins running while I had the top pick in LT from the Chargers. Ronnie racks up forty while LT comes in with a chump like 15. I lose by 18 points so who would pick Ronnie Brown instead of LT.?? I offered up as a joke LT to the commish. I should have really done it. Then I listen to Bradshaw and Howie how great Detroit is so I leave the hot rookie on the starting team and sit Burress who Has a Q by his name. Then I pick the Lions D... which proceeds to give up 56. Then Ocho Cinco fails to find the end zone. I hope my Adrian Peterson for Plaxico gets by the commish. Peterson is the Vikings only hope and I hate cheering for a Giant player like Plaxico . I see Brian Westbrook who was supposed to be riding pine saved the Pink team from Mark Buglers ----negative one. Some solace for a Rams fan I reckon. Next week will bring back my winning ways

Two and Nil: Go Team

With my team riding high on the arm of Carson Palmer and catches of Chad Johnson this fantasy football is proving to be fun. Of course the commissioner and owner of some Pink type Doom team told me to take it easy because it is a long season.... but then he has the loser Rams and Mark Bulger who gets yards but no TD's.

I found my self somewhat confused on how to watch and react to the Bungles-Browns game. Being a Steelers fan it is tough to cheer for either the Browns or Bengals. This last game I was cheering for both of them to run up the score while also cheering for Cinncy to lose in the end. They listened with 6 TDs from the QB and two TDs from Chad. The XPs also add up. Last week I was going for the Ravens to tie the score against the Bungles so Palmer would get the chance to throw for some more yards.
I watch games hoping for a lot of scoring knowing that my opponent didn't have any Browns on the team.

Story Of a Winner

Futball d’American
Expert Analysis of the 2007 Draft
Prepared by Pink Fluffy Bunny Slippers of Doom (league commissioner)
AKA

Here’s how The Early Favorite graded out,
Vikqueens (Keith Gilbertson)
By luck of the draw, Vqueens garnered the #1 overall selection of the draft, thereby meriting the services of one LaDainian Tomlinson RB. Because LT’s fantasy value far surpasses all others’, the Vqueen’s draft couldn’t help but grade out well. Chad Johnson WR and Carson Palmer QB will certainly look smart in Vqueen uniforms this season. Johnson was the top receiver taken in many a draft, and Palmer is the clear cut #2 quarterback after a certain Indy QB. Yet one can’t help question the wisdom of waiting until the 6th round to select the team’s second tailback, though it turned out okay given Brandon Jackson RB is the likely starter in Green Bay. Not a bad take for the 84th pick overall. But depth is a serious issue for the Vqueens as their draft went flatline after round 7. Taking a kicker in that next round was ill advised, and Chris Henry WR in the 10th? This jaded Bengal is suspended for the first half of the season. Overall, Vqueens appears to be a serious playoff contender, but injuries to one or two key starters will decimate their chances.
Value Picks
L. Tomlinson - Rd 1
B. Jackson - Rd 6
A. Crumpler – Rd 7
Throwaway Pick
C. Henry – Rd 10
Boom or Bust:
C. Johnson – Rd 5
OVERALL GRADE: B+
